Yesterday it was really good to play host to my cousin who had travelled up from Middlesex - nothing like mulling over old times. Was also able to give him a quick tour of Great Malvern. In the evening met up with a group from the Priory to explore some mind-blowing thoughts.
The week has been punctuated with calls from and to the professionals too - and in the process have now got an appointment for my MRI scan at the Cobalt Unit in Cheltenham on Monday afternoon. I then have the follow-up with the Consultant Oncologist at Cheltenham General on Friday evening, prior to which I have to be at Worcester Royal to have my Hickman Line removed - that is unless by blood count is not favourable.
This morning was exceptionally busy - visits from the Neurophysio (who did a thorough check of all my muscles and their strength, etc), the Worcester Carers Support worker (mainly for Jane) in prep for next week's assessment on Tuesday and who had some useful further contacts for us, and the District Nurse who, inter alia, was able to offer some very useful information from first hand experience as a patient of the effects she had following chemotherapy.
Completed the day with a relaxing chat this afternoon with a friend who has just returned from Aussie and looking very well on it too!
Phew!
Colin.
