This post is intended to be at a postcard style level - while I leave the finding out about brain tumours to Jane - and there is plenty, both to find out and the various types! At a recent brain tumour support group meeting (which I find very useful, and am surprised at the number of people affected) there was one woman who was handing out some cake (always welcome) to mark the 20 years since she had been diagnosed - will that mean I keep this blog going for that long - hope so!!
I am always working on the precept my Dad had that "no news was good news" but the sparsity of blogs was due to a few very fine days in Wales (actually extremely fine for Wales as it always seems to rain when I go there!)
And then we had a week in Broadstairs at a comfy flat owned by friends. Again we had a good week of warm, sunny weather and we managed to make quite a few visits and walks - places remembered by me (Colin) but only very vaguely as it was over 40 years ago when I went there when my sister and brother-in-law lived in Thanet (Yes, it was that long ago!).
And after that, a week of getting sorted out here, getting the church magazine done and trying to catch up on emails - while trying not to miss the appointments that keep coming along!
I'm not sure when we will update this next - as I hope the medical reports won't be needed. However, we are still trying to catch up with all the friends who have been so kind to us particularly over the last seven and a half months. Sorry if we seem not to have got around to seeing everyone yet - especially several of our nearest neighbours who seem to be patiently waiting!!
Colin.
