I'm delighted to say that he told me the scan looked "almost normal" and better than the last one (that was before the chemotherapy, and since the chemo I have not had any treatment at all).
They believe what little can be seen is the possible damage of the previous lesions and there is no evidence of any abnormality or active disease.
So the next step is to be scanned again in 12 weeks and, as a precaution, to arrange another ocular examination. In the mean time we are to keep alert for any changes or odd behaviour that may be symptoms of something untoward. If they do seem to be symptoms, I will contact them immediately and be scanned again.(NB how can anyone spot any additional odd behaviour in me???)
Before the trip to Cheltenham, I went to Worcester to have the Hickman line removed, which also went fine and was (virtually) painless.
So a successful day all round. We will aim to make the most of the weather (and maybe even catch up on the garden!).
Alleluia!!!
Colin.
