The conclusion was that Colin should undergo a MRI scan (which we had requested more than once at Worcester since the Chemo) to see what the current situation is and then, depending on the result, radiotherapy may be given but focussed on any mass present and not whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) as per the theoretical guidance. WBRT is likely to result in significant memory loss - which confirmed the results of the research both of us have undertaken over the last few weeks and about which we were extremely worried. If radiotherapy is not required at this stage the recommendation is that Colin will undergo regular scans to keep an 'eye' on any developments. Colin elected to have the scan at Cheltenham - good decision! - with the follow-up consultation with the Oncologist there too.
So an excellent scientific result all round and a very sensible approach to the way forward.
