So....as Colin put it tonight, he has a sore head, a sore thigh (from yesterday's biopsy) and a sore chest/neck. Tomorrow a sore spine (or base of) will be added as they will do a lumbar puncture. Today's CT scan hopefully showed this would be safe and the tumour is not creating any dangerous pressure in the head for the procedure to be carried out. It may be the case that they decide to administer some chemotherapy intrathecally.
The Consultant Haematologist visited him this afternoon to explain a few things and left him with lots of information. The plan appears to be that the Chemo will start Friday, all being well.
He seemed to be in good spirits tonight when I visited if rather overwhelmed with the information he'd been given today. I've passed on the messages/good wishes that he's received since he arrived at WRH and he thanks you all for your continued interest and support.
I left him with a chocolate cake from next door for him to enjoy with his evening cup of tea!
