So....I had a late appointment at Worcester Royal Hospital yesterday afternoon and, just as the appointment letter said, we were there nearly two hours!!! We returned home really late and very tired after much waiting around and finally seeing the Ophthalmic Consultant who knew nothing about my brain tumour and why it was necessary for me to have an eye scan. Doh!
However, having undergone some thorough eye examinations, including an eye scan with a laser and a 'manual' examination of the back of the eyes, it was good to hear that there is currently no abnormality in the ocular region. Phew!
And today? Well it is our Silver Wedding Anniversary and so I bought Jane a new cooker. She should be very grateful to have something new with which to cook my dinner don't you think? Because it was such a foul day weatherwise, we decided to forego a day out and had lunch at the BlueBird Tearooms in Malvern instead, which was very good. Then, mooching around the local supermarket we bumped into some good friends who very kindly decided to take us for a coffee 'to celebrate', which we did over a nice long chat. So all in all, the day has been quite a success!
Now it's a wait to hear when the next MRI scan will be, as the next appointment with the Consultant Oncologist has been set for mid-December.
